Skyesports: Gamers Once Again Highlight Its Continued Partnership With an Online Betting Company; All We Know

Skyesports, a leading player in the online gaming and gambling industry, has been attracting players from all corners of the globe. A year ago, it formed a partnership with 1XBET, an online betting website that had been banned in India.

Despite the ban, the gaming community has once again highlighted the continued partnership. This move has not only sparked a significant backlash from the Indian Gaming Community but also raised concerns about the potential impact on upcoming gamers and developers, making it a topic of interest and discussion.

With the announcement, there is a growing concern about minimizing the distinction between video games and other entities. This involves participation in real-money games (RMG) and betting and gambling.

Skyespoorts, one of the country’s major esports tournament organizers, is now focused on Skyespotsts Championship 2024, the upcoming C esports tournament for Counter-Strike 2.

How Partnership Is Exciting Players?

Esports is considered an extension of the video game industry, which allows numerous gamers to showcase their skills at the highest competitive level. However, this industry has continuously tried to differentiate itself from gambling, betting, RMG, or other entities. This partnership with major Indian esports tournament organizers and illegal betting websites can lead to short-term gains.

So, it is fair to say that IGN India believes that players who are participating can get a chance to make a clear distinction between video games away from betting and gambling.

This announcement was discussed earlier with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and top teams, organizations, and content creators discussed the issues and solutions. The report was clarified with Skyesports and 1XBET, and no comment was announced. This implies that responses to all queries regarding the decision are stances between gambling, betting, and esports.

The developers also contacted JetSynthesys, Skyesports’ parent company, to discuss the matter. There, he said that as soon as the decision was announced, we would respond shortly.

What Is The Ministry Advisory Against Online Gambling Platforms?

On 21 March 2024, the ministry advisory committee announced that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an advisory warning. They said that legal action will be taken against those who promote gambling and betting sites, and they will be arrested or deleted from their social media accounts.

IGN also believes that companies are misleading gamers and the general public on account of e-gaming and gaming. Skyesports is gradually providing platforms for grand esports tournament spectacles in the country. Also, the gaming authority said that as influencers, it should set a good example for nationwide collaboration with others. It is fundamental before esports tries to elevate the levels of esports tournaments and boost India on the global stage.
