The Saudia Arabian championship, Esports World Cup, has just announced a partnership with Adidas. This championship is a multi-tile event run by the Esports WorldCup Foundation. With this deal, Adidas will become the official merchandise sponsor of the event and will provide an exclusive line of clothing to the players and staff.

Yes! The event staff wil also get exclusive co-branded shirts for the Riyadh event, which’s been scheduled from July 14th to August 25th, 2024. According to the official release, this partnership aims to assist players in their journey to victory.

More On Adidas’s Partnerships

Adidas continues to expand its grasp in the Esports industry through various partnerships and deals. In May 2024, Adidas collaborated with 100 Thieves, a North American organization, to launch a co-branded merchandise collection in the market.

This isn’t the first time Adidas has collaborated with the Esports World Cup Foundation. In July 2023, both parties joined hands in the deal for Gamers8, which was replaced with this year’s Esports World Cup.

This championship features multiple titles, including League of Legends, Dota2, Apex Legends, and many more. One of the very first titles in this category is Call of Duty, which includes Modern Warfare 3 and the Warzone tournament.

Although Adidas is the official merchandise sponsor of the event, the Foundation has partnered with several other brands as well. Ahead of the inaugural event, they’ve secured partnerships with brands like KitKat, the Esports Awards (Industry Award Show), and Bran’s Coffee.

Mohammed Al Nimer is the Sales Director of the Esports World Cup. he opened up on this deal with Adidas and mentioned that they are proud to be partners with Adidas, which embodies the spirit of innovation and competition.

For Adidas, it’s a chance to connect with a huge fanbase of dedicated and passionate people. Adidas said in the reports that it is looking forward to creating an innovative experience that will increase the fans’ excitement. Although the event is being funded by the Saudi Arabian Government, there has been a fair amount of criticism regarding the country’s human rights record.
