The Esports World Cup Foundation has disclosed plans for the second edition of the New Global Sports Conference (NGSC) 2024. With the conclusion of the current esports championship that is taking place in Riyadh, this conference is scheduled to be held on the 24th and 25th of August at the Four Seasons Hotel.
This highly anticipated conference is aimed at bringing together popular names in gaming, business, sports, and technology with the theme “The Future of Fandom.” It is said that around 800 attendees are expected at the conference, during which important aspects of gaming and esports will be discussed with top figures from different industries. Following the conference, there will be an extended two-day program that will include multiple stages, workshops, and more.
NSGC has taken this step to promote esports and gaming as its previous frameworks of Next World Forum Editions of 2022 and 2023 were a great success. The theme that has been chosen for this year is to highlight how fans’ engagement in online gaming is reshaping the industry for good. Since fans enjoy every tournament and are keen on them, NSGC wants to open new avenues for them with enhanced experiences, innovative revenue streams, and cutting-edge technological advancements.
The main agenda of this discussion will be how the sectors can revolutionize fan engagement. What’s the point of organizing tournaments if there’s no audience to cheer and celebrate? So, they are working on trends like introducing personalized avatars, user-curated content, and digital and physical collectibles so that the interest of esports enthusiasts can be retained.
