To make X an “everything app” the app has partnered with the leading sports betting platform BetMGM. With the collaboration, X will add betting services directly to the platform. X CEO Linda Yaccarino announced the collaboration with BetMGM on Friday 9, before the big SuperBowl Final.
Yaccarino expressed enthusiasm on the post saying Sports fans on X would be able to bet on their favorite teams and cheer for them. Through X, formerly known as Twitter, sports fans will gain access to real-time sports betting odds.
However, users won’t be able to directly bet from X, rather the site will navigate you to BetMGM.
As of now BetMGM and X are focusing on Professional football, but as per their plans, they will add more Sports shortly with the feature to directly bet from X. This deal came right after many advertising companies left X due to Musk’s controversial opinions.
Musk is aiming to make X an “everything app” where users can video call, message, post photos, and videos, and manage their finances. Elon Musk even announced recently to leave other platforms and use X for video calls and messaging.
Musk also convinced several high-profile people to post video content on X exclusively, such as political commentators Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon. The plan worked as X surged in popularity on Apple’s App Store this week after Tucker Carlson’ published his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin on X.
In addition with the collaboration X can attract and maintain more Sports fans to use the site.
