Moving into the future of gaming we know that next generation consoles are on their way and soon they will be in our hands.Taking part in this Epic Games team up with 3Lateral, Cubic Motion, Tencent and Vicon to take live captured digital humans to the next level using Unreal Engine . Meet “Siren” a high fidelity, real time a digital character played by Chinese actress Bingjie Jiang. She was created by an international team of artists and engineers who wanted to know what a synthetic human could look like. She got her image in real time graphics and extra-ordinary level of detail in her facial features like eyes, skin and hair etc. She was motion captured by a real human through Unreal Engine. You can see more about siren at upcoming professional game industry event GDC 2018. Similar to siren in next part of the video we can see another next gen graphics facial animation played by actor Andy Serkis . This graphics animation shows us some possibility of generating human driven volumetric performance. This showcase is brought to us by Unreal Engine combined with 3Lateral’s Meta Human Framework© reconstruction, compression and volumetric capture. Seeing all this evidence and tiny glance of next generation graphics we now know that the future of video gaming is going to be awesome. With the next gen consoles just around the corner, we can expect not these but pretty much close to these graphics which they will bring with them.
