MSI 2024 is currently underway in Chengdu, China, throughout May. A total of 12 teams have qualified globally, with major regions like LPL China, League of Legends Champions South Korea, League of Legends European Championship, and League of Legends Championship Series North America securing two slots each, while four minor regions have one slot each.
In the Play-Ins stage, teams like LOUD, GAM, Estral, and FlyQuest were eliminated, with FlyQuest’s loss to a minor region team being surprisingly upset, especially after their record-breaking match against T1
Although North American teams have faced challenges, they still have opportunities to shine despite Team Liquid’s one-sided loss to Top Esports. As the bracket stage begins, where first-seed teams from major regions enter the competition.

MSI 2024: Tournament Schedule Date
MSI 2024 is scheduled to run from May 1 to May 19 at the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center. The tournament has three stages.
The first stage is the Play-In Stage from May 1-5, after which the play-in stage player will go into the Bracket Stage (Week 1) from May 7 – 12, and Bracket Stage (Week 2) May 14 – 18, with the final scheduled to take place on May 19.
MSI 2024: Bracket Stage (W1) Result and Upcoming Matches
In the Bracket Stage, Team Liquid lost to Top Esports, while Gen.G dominated against Fnatic Esports. On May 9, BLG will face PSG Talon and G2 vs. T1 and Fnatic vs. Team Liquid Honda are scheduled for May 10. Gen.G will meet Top Esports on May 11.
