Ukrainian Gamer Oleksandr, aka s1mple, has launched an educational program aimed at improving the skills of Counter-Strike 2 players. The course ‘Play Like S1mple’ features 60 high-quality video courses, which cover in-game skill development, strategic insights, and career advancement opportunities outside the game.

Aside from these, players will be able to know the ins and outs of Esport, including how to participate in tournaments with fellow players, opportunities for personal communication with s1mple, and other pro Esport players.

  • S1mple is one of the renowned esports players. He was ranked as the best CS:GO player by HLTV in 2018, 2021, and 2022. During his time in NAVI Esport, s1mple has won numerous titles, including PGL Major Stockholm 2021, IEM Katowice 2020, BLAST Premier World Final in 2021, and many more achievements.
  • S1mple has taken a big break from competitive Counter-Strike since October 2023. The player returned for a short period of time on March 6, 2024, for Team Falcons. But I’ve never played any other competitive games since then.
  • In an interview with Esports Insider, s1mple said that he started working on the educational program during his break. He explained, “The break from competitive gameplay was really beneficial for me. It gave me much more opportunity and time to create an even better project.” So he was able to focus his time more on these courses.
  • Talking about his motivation behind kickstarting the project. S1mple said, “I was interested in it because I know how to make players play better. I see how many mistakes they make, and I feel it’s a good opportunity for them to learn from me and other pro players. There will be many examples of how to play and how not to play in crucial situations.” The initial idea to build an educational program for Counter-Strike players came from his brother and friends.
  • Esports Insider asked him whether this project was a sign of departure from competitive Esports. He replied “I’m looking forward to returning to the esports scene. We’ve just completed the first half of the project, so there will be a second part as well.”

As said by S1mple in the second part, they will invite people from esports and will provide a lot more information and share different perspectives of people related to Esports, including players, coaches, and managers.

S1mple isn’t the only esports player to follow this trend, as other retired and current esports players have given coaching services to players. But none of them are in-depth and comprehensive like S1mple’s course, making it stand out. Play Like S1mple is now available for everyone, and you can get access to 60 videos by paying $120 USD for a year.
