IEM Katowice 2024 ended with Team Spirit lifting the winning trophy. Here is everything you need to know about the tournament.
This edition of IEM Katowice has been amazing as the team learned about their capabilities in the beginning of 2024. Pro teams like Heroic, NAVI, and Vitality were eliminated before getting to the Arena where teams like Spirit, and Mouz impressed everyone with their new lineups.Â
Everyone didn’t even think about Team Spirit winning the tournament, as their lineup was new and young with no major tournament wins. They came out of nowhere and dominated the tournament. Team Spirit only lost one map in the entire tournament.
Their 17-year-old Team member Danil Kryshkovest best known as Donk gives world-class performance in IEM. Donk made the record of winning Youngest player to win IEM Katowice at 17. Aside from Donk, other team members Magixx, Xyp9x, Boris, and Miroslav won their first major tournament.
Team Spirit met the CS Pro FaZe Clan in the finals. The FaZe clan wasn’t able to beat Donk and his Team Spirit. Spirit won the final with a 3-0.

IEM Katowice 2024 also saw a significant rise in Viewership, which made it the fourth most-watched Katowice edition. IEM Katowice had a peak viewership of 972k, it was very long since Csgo Esports got this much Viewership.
Team Spirit Prize Money and Future
Team Spirit took home USD 400,000. They also secured their sports in future CSGO2 tournaments Including 2024’s IEM Cologne, the BLAST Premier World Final, and the Esports World Cup.
Team Spirit also announced to participate in IEM Dallas 2024. Which is scheduled to happen on May 31, 2024.
