Nazara’s Nodwin Gaming is on the verge of acquiring the Istanbul-based gaming firm Ninja Global FZCO. Further, the 100% acquisition of Ninja Gaming by Nodwin has not yet been disclosed by the company heads. Nodwin is all set to buy Ninja Global for $3.5 Million, and the transaction will be concluded with a mixture of stocks and cash.

Getting into the base, Nodwin Gaming is owned by a Mumbai-based company, Nazara Technologies. This acquisition can help Nodwin Gaming expand its ventures of providing solutions to brands and publishers across the Middle East and Turkish regions. Ninja Global is a company that conducts tournaments, broadcasts, and other Esports activities across the Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa (MENA) regions.

Now, Nodwin is not only acquiring this company but they also acquired a game marketing agency named PublishMe for $2 million on October 6th. This publishing company also functioned across Turkey and West Asia, which makes it clear that Nodwin is all set to headstart its tech ventures in the Middle East and Turkey.

Nitish Mittersain, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Nazara Technologies, has said that the company has faced negative earnings before tax, depreciation, and amortisation of Rs. 2 crore. As of Nodwin’s revenue generation for Nazara for the quarter ended December was Rs. 134 crore.

Mittersain has also said that “Nazara is not pushing margins for Nodwin” and mentioned that they believe this business has growth potential in the future. Not only that, they are planning an aggressive growth plan for the Nodvin division as well.

Growth And Company Acquisitions By Nodwin

As the BRICS+ global network is expanding exponentially, Nodwin plans to expand its grasp on the gaming industry in the Middle East. Now, the Ninja Gaming company’s acquisition can play a crucial role in helping Nodwin broaden its footprint globally. Nodwin had also acquired the Events firm Comic Con India for a whopping Rs. 55 Crore on 24th January. This transaction was completed through cash and share swap.

Nodwin, being the highest revenue generator for Nazara Technologies and now expanding globally, opens up a lot of opportunities, said Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and MD of Nazara Technologies. Akshat also mentioned that these acquisitions and ventures across Turkey, the Middle East, and North Africa open new possibilities and avenues for them.

The strategic acquisition will also enable Nodwin to get a good grasp on mobile gaming markets and give it the title of “Cost Competetive Global Delivery And Production Platform.” This title given to Nodwin can help them exceed their expectations of grasping a big portion of control over gaming markets of Asia, the Middle East, Turkey, Europe, and the USA.

Now, for the growth post-tax, Nazara has seen a profit of 47% on-year to Rs.29 Crore, and their revenue has grown over 2% with a profit of Rs.320 Crore. And, when it comes to the majority revenue generator divisions of Nazara, over 55% of nine months’ revenue till December came from the Esports department. The Esports department includes Nodwin, and Sportskeeda contributes to most of those numbers.
