Skyesports, the popular esports tournament organizer in India, is going to reorganize its popular tournament “Skyesport Champions Series (SCS). Shiva Nandy, CEO of Skysports, promised that this championship is going to be bigger than 2023 and that players from several states are going to participate. The expected final date of the tournament is February 28, 2024, and it will be held in big cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and many more.

The championship is set to be open for Battle Ground Mobile India (BGMI) with a bumper prize pool of Rs. 10 lakh for the winner. The event will be powered by the semiconductor manufacturer AMD, and EliteHubs is going to intervene as an e-commerce platform in SCS. In this regard, Nandy has thanked AMD and EliteHubs for being sponsored partners of the grassroots-level tournament.

According to the sources, the top esports team have already registered and navigated the qualifier round. As per the report, almost 18 teams are already heading towards the semifinal rounds, which makes this tournament more exciting. Additionally, Skayesports has sent direct invitations for the semifinal of the championship based on their previous performance.

The Emergence Of SCS By The Year 2022

The Skyesports Champions Series was first organized in 2022 with the collaboration of Valorant. The final was all set in Chennai, which caused this championship to gain immense popularity among gamers. By 2023, Skyesports have also introduced BGMI tournaments, which have gained a viewership of 131,000 in the same year.

The CEO of Skyesports has said that this year is going to be the biggest tournament as a result of the 2023 event. The quarter-final of the event has already started with the participation of 32 teams competing across four days. The qualifiers will be selected for the semifinal round, which is Group B for the tournament.

The whole tournament is divided into 3 groups, namely Group A, B, and C, where Group A includes a quarter-final round which is going on. After qualifying this round, the teams will advance towards Group B, which will be played on February 19 and 20. Almost 24 teams will compete with each other to get into the final round, which will be held on February 28, 2024.The final round will include 9 teams with 12 matches where players will need to survive to win the Skyesports Champions Series 2024 title. Further, the winner will be rewarded with a Rs. 10 lakh prize pool, which is among the highest prizes in this series. The tournament will be played on a point system, which includes 1st place with 10 points, 2nd position holds 6 points, and the team with 5 points will hold the third position.
