India and Indonesia will celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties at the 6th India Gaming Show 2024. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will organize this international event for gaming, animation, and entertainment. For this, the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi has agreed to work with Skyeports. According to a report published on CNBC, teams from India and Indonesia will compete in the popular PC game Counter-Strike 2 at the Skyesports Grand Slam.
This major event will happen in Pune, India, from 14th March to 16th March 2024. Four teams- one from India, one from Australia, and two from Europe will participate to win the championship title. The prize pool for the championship title is $50,000. The showmatch between the India and Indonesia teams is a part of the Skyesports Grand Slam.
At an Indonesian pavilion, local Indonesian games will be promoted for the Indian market. India has 421 million gamers, and the number is increasing. Indonesia also has 180 million gamers, and if gaming communities from both countries work together, it will boost their gaming industries.
A representative from the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi said that it would not only strengthen the relationship between both countries but also provide the opportunity for people to interact with each other.According to the founder and CEO of Skyesports, Shiva Nandy, esports has the potential to bring people closer on the international level. Also, the showmatch between India and Indonesia at the India Gaming Show 2024 will bring both countries closer.
