People in India are currently enjoying the thrilling matches of the IPL, and many people are winning huge amounts of money through fantasy games. On Sunday, people witnessed a very exciting match between KKR and RCB in which KKR emerged victorious with just 1 run. This KKR vs RCB match turned out to be a boon for an 8th-grade dropout, Deepu Ojha. He won ₹1.5 crore on the Dream11 app without having much knowledge about cricket.

According to a report published in India Times, Deepu Ojha is a car mechanic from Kohda village, Arrah district in Bihar. He dropped out of school in 8th grade, and he was only making teams in fantasy gaming apps for the last 6 months.

According to Deepu, he didn’t have work to do on Sunday, so he decided to make a team on Dream11 for the KKR vs RCB match. He selected Andre Russell as the captain against the odds, who generated the highest points in the match for his overall performance.

Deepu said he only had a little knowledge about the players and made a random team based on his skills. However, he won ₹1.5 crore, and he said that he was very surprised but happy about this.

Similar stories of common men winning crores on fantasy gaming apps come out every now and then. During the last season of the IPL, a common man (driver), Shahabuddin Mansuri from Madhya Pradesh, won ₹1.5 crore in a match between KKR and KXIP. Similarly, a sub-inspector from Pune police, Somnath Jhende, was in the spotlight for winning in the Dream11 app. However, he was suspended from his duty for alleged misconduct and misuse of his power and position.
