The 6th edition of the India Gaming Show was held in Maharashtra’s Pune City. The India Gaming Show 2024 was jointly organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), Invest India, and Media Entertainment with the help of the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
IGS previously hosted their convention in cities like New Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. For the first time, IGS hosted its gaming convention in Pune. Maharashtra is one of the popular states in India known for its culture, entertainment industry, and entrepreneurship.
The gaming and esports industry is growing in Maharashtra a lot faster. While the Government of Maharashtra never supported Esports or Gaming directly, they started involving in gaming and esports through their recent projects.
The gaming convention occurred from March 14 to March 16, with 20 gaming companies participating. IGS hosted their session panels with several industry veterans speaking about gaming and esports.

Panel Discussion – “Building an Esports Game from India” industry veterans such as Shiva Nandy founder of SkyeSports, Animesh Agarwal founder of S8UL Esports, Anuj Mankar founder of Nautilus Mobile, Karan Pathak associate director of Esports, Krafton India, and many other panelists from esports industry joined it.
The Talent Conundrum: A Look at Demand & Supply Of Game Devs In India
The panel was about the game development sector of India. Manva Hunswadkar Lead PR of Krafton India, Rahul Sehgal Co-founder of Game2Maker, and Ranbeer Hora Founder of GodSpeed Games spoke about the game development sector of India, and how game development is evolving in India. The panelists shared a comprehensive perspective and insight about Game Development in India.
Overall the India Gaming Show 2024 Pune edition was a successful event, for gaming enthusiasts. Events like IGS will help in fostering the esports and gaming industry of Pune.
