The Esports World Cup, which is scheduled to happen in the Summer of 2024, is gaining traction day by day as three big Mobile Games will be a part of the esports tournament in Riyadh. The Esports World Cup is a follow-on from the previous Gamer8 event that takes place in Saudi Arabia. Gamer8 is a massive gaming esports tournament and festival.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) was announced in October 2023. Since its announcement, the event gained attention from gamers and Esports enthusiasts. EWC will be organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Â
Moonton’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is the first game to be featured at the Esports World Cup 2024. Mobile Legends is one of the most popular games in the world, and its inclusion in the Esports World Cup shows how popular mobile gaming is. One of the biggest companies in the mobile gaming market, Tencent, later announced the Honor of Kings esports tournament with a $3 Million Prize pool in the Esports World Cup. It is an opportunity for Honor of Kings players.
Gareena Free Fire, which is the most popular Battle Royal game on mobile, is also going to feature at the Esports World Cup. Free Fire announced a $1 Million Prize pool for the tournament.
Games To Be Part Of Esports World CupÂ
A total of Six games have been announced to be part of EWC 2024. Here are the lists of games.
Mobile Legends: Bing Bang – Mobile Legends mid-season Cup is going to happen in Esports World Cup 2024, Riyadh in July 2024. The tournament will feature Moonton’s largest Prize Pool of $3 Million. Moonton signed a multi-year contract with Saudi Arabian to play esports with Esports World Cup Foundation.
Counter-Strike Go 2: CSGO 2 esports tournament will take place in EWC. The prize pool and some other details of the tournament haven’t been revealed yet. IELS Katowice 2024 Champions Team Spirit will take part in EWC 2024.
Dota 2: Dota 2 Riyadh Masters will happen in EWC. The prize pool will be revealed soon, but as per reports, a total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament. The tournament will take place in July.
StarCraft 2: StarCraft 2’s ESL Pro Tour Championship 2024 will be held in EWC, Saudi Arabia. The prize pool of the tournament isn’t revealed yet, but as per reports, it will be the largest Prize Pool ever for the title.Â
Honor Of Kings: The Honor of Kings mid-season tournament will feature in EWC 2024. 12 teams will fight to share the $3 Million Prize pool, and an opportunity to qualify for the International Championship.
Free Fire Gareena will also host their Esports tournament of Free Fire in EWC. 18 teams will compete in the tournament to take a share out of the $1 Million Prize pool and to qualify for Free Fire World Series Global Finals 2024.
More games are yet to be announced, we might see other popular mobile games such as PUBG, and Call of Duty, and PC games such as Fortnite and many more games. The Esports World Cup is scheduled to happen in July 2024.
