After the success of SkyeSports Champion Series 2024, SkyeSports returned with another big esports tournament Grand Slam 2024. SkyeSports Grand Slam 2024 is an event featuring The International Counter Strike 2 esports tournament. SkyeSports Grand Slam 2024 Playoffs are currently happening in Pune from March 14 to March 16. The final of SkyeSports Grand Slam 2024 is also going to be held in Pune, on March 16, Saturday.
The tournament is being held at The 6th India Gaming Show 2024, Pune. The 6th India Gaming Show 2024, is an international gaming, animation, and infotainment event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). In collaboration with GIGABYTE SkyeSports is showcasing gaming products, goodies, CSGO 2 1v1 matches, EAFC24 1v1, and Experience Zone. Players either can showcase their cosplay skills or play 1v1 CS2 matches against other players.
SkyeSports Grand Slam 2024 International Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament will feature four teams from Russia, Indonesia, India, and Australia participating to win the title and the prize pool of $50,000. Gods Reign from India, Bad News Kangaroos from Australia, Aurora Gaming from Russia, and Garuda Wisnu Voyage from Indonesia Battling out for the prize pool and title.
SkyeSports Grand Slam 2024 will host an all-female esports tournament the “Luna”, featuring the top ten Indian female gamers competing in Counter-Strike 2. The Luna Showmatch is to showcase the diversity within the Indian gaming industry.
Grand Slam 2024 CS2 Tournament Day 1 Recap
On the first day of Grand Slam 2024, we see the four teams going against each other in the semi-finals.

In the first semi-final match, we see the Aussie team Bad News Kangaroos going against the Russian team Aurora Gaming. Sadly, the Aussie team didn’t have any competition with Aurora Gaming as the Russian team flawlessly won the Semi-final 1 with 2-0. The team dominated in the first two maps with 13-11 in the Overpass map, and 13-4 in the Inferno map, easily winning against Kangaroos.

The Semi-finals 2 was between India and Indonesia. It was more interesting as the event was to celebrate the 75-year diplomatic relationship of India with Indonesia. Grand Slam 2024 is also sponsored by the Indonesian Embassy of New Delhi. Gods Reign from India went against Indonesia’s Garuda Wisnu Voyage. Gods Reign easily dominated in the match with 2-0.
